BLOOD COMPOSITION
- Our blood is made up of liquid and solids, The liquid substance called Plasma.
- These plasma is made up of water salts and proteins.
- Over half of the blood which is around 55% of made is made of plasma.
- The solid part of your blood contains RBC'S (Red blood corpuscles) are also known as Erythrocytes
- WBC'S (White blood corpuscles) are also known as Leucocytes. and other solid thing in blood is Platelets are also called Thrombocytes.
- Over 45% of blood is formed of Blood cells.
- The main function of RBC is to carry the oxygen through all parts of the body such as tissues and organs.
- The main function of WBC is fight with infection and are part of your immune system.
- The main function of Platelets is help blood to clot, When we have a cut or wound.
- Bone marrow is a sponge substance present inside the bones, which makes new blood cells as stem cells.
- The RBC will constantly die and our body makes the new blood cells as we seen before from bone marrow.
- The life time of RBC cells are around 120 days and the life time of Platelets are about 6 days.
- Some WBC'S lives less than a day, some WBC'S can live longer...
